Why Your Prayers Aren’t Working
You’re praying for one thing while your energy is broadcasting something else. That’s the misalignment.
When I Prayed for Confidence and Broadcast Fear
For years, I would pray for clients, for visibility, for my message to reach more people. I would literally say the words: "I’m ready. I’m open to clients. I want to help more people." And then, at night, I would worry. I would think about all the ways I wasn’t ready. I would spiral about whether I was good enough. I would imagine criticism and rejection. I would basically spend eight hours a day broadcasting, "I’m not worthy of what I’m praying for."
And nothing would shift. I’d pray harder. I’d visualize more. I’d do more manifestation work. But nothing changed because my prayer and my energy weren’t coherent. I was asking the universe for one thing while energetically broadcasting something completely different. It’s like sending a letter to your dream address but signing your actual address on the envelope. Of course it doesn’t arrive.
What Alignment Actually Means
I learned something crucial: your prayers are not more powerful than your energy. Your intentions are not more powerful than your beliefs. The words you say are not more powerful than what you actually believe about yourself and about what’s possible. If there’s a gap between what you’re praying for and what you actually believe you deserve or are capable of, that gap is where manifestation goes to die.
Alignment means your thoughts, your feelings, your beliefs, your actions, and your energy are all pointing in the same direction. It means when you pray for something, every part of you is actually saying yes to it. Not just your voice — your body, your nervous system, your energy field.
This is why some people manifest seemingly effortlessly, and others work their butt off on manifestation practices with nothing to show for it. The effortless manifestors are aligned. They want something, they believe they can have it, and they act like they’re going to have it. Their inner and outer worlds are coherent.
The Three Dimensions of Alignment
Coherence between thought, feeling, and action is what creates real manifestation power. Let me break this down. Your thoughts are what you consciously believe. Your feelings are what your body is broadcasting. Your actions are what you’re actually doing.
If you want clients but you’re thinking, "I’m not ready," feeling scared, and acting like you don’t have anything to offer, you’re not aligned. You’re literally saying no to what you’re praying for. The universe responds to the totality of what you’re broadcasting, not just the words you pray.
Real alignment means: You think, "I have value to offer." You feel confident in your body. And you act like someone who has value — you show up, you share, you put yourself out there. That’s coherence. That’s when manifestation happens almost automatically, because you’re no longer fighting yourself.
Where the Misalignment Happens
Most of our misalignment happens in the feelings and actions, even though we’re very conscious of our thoughts. We think, "I want to manifest abundance," but we feel like scarcity is inevitable, so we hoard money instead of spending it, share it, or invest it. We think, "I’m worthy," but we feel unworthy, so we dim our light and make ourselves small.
Or we think something should happen, but we don’t actually feel it, and we definitely don’t act like it’s already true. We pray for things, but we’re not willing to do the work or take the risks necessary to have them. We want the result without doing the inner work that makes us capable of holding it.
I see this so much: someone wants a loving, healthy relationship, but they don’t believe they’re worthy of one, so they keep choosing unavailable people or they sabotage things the moment they get good. Someone wants their own business, but they don’t actually believe they can do it, so they stay in a job that’s killing them instead of taking action. Someone wants to heal, but they don’t believe healing is possible for them, so they keep showing up in the exact same patterns.
The Work That Creates Real Alignment
This is why manifestation isn’t actually about the practice. It’s about the work. It’s about aligning yourself internally so that you’re a match for what you want. This might mean healing beliefs about your worthiness. This might mean working through fears that are making you broadcast scarcity. This might mean developing the skills and confidence you need to actually receive what you’re praying for.
When I finally got serious about alignment, I didn’t add more manifestation practices. I did the opposite. I went inward. I asked: "What do I actually believe about abundance? What do I actually believe about my ability to help people? What am I unconsciously afraid of?" And I worked with those beliefs.
I did affirmations, but not because I thought saying positive words would trick the universe. I did them because they helped me become aware of the limiting beliefs I was running underneath my surface. I visualized, but not to distract myself from my doubt. I visualized to help my nervous system understand what it would feel like to already have what I wanted. The practices became tools for alignment, not replacements for it.
How to Check Your Alignment
If you want something and it’s not showing up, stop praying harder. Stop visualizing more. Start getting honest about your alignment. Ask yourself: "Do I actually believe this is possible for me? Do I feel worthy of this? Am I acting like someone who’s already got this?"
If the answer is no to any of those questions, you’ve found your misalignment. That’s where the work needs to happen. You need to shift your belief, heal your sense of unworthiness, or start taking actions that demonstrate your commitment to what you’re asking for.
The Prayer That Changed Everything
At some point, I stopped praying, "Give me what I want." And I started praying, "Make me ready to receive what I want. Heal the parts of me that don’t believe I deserve this. Show me what I need to become." That prayer changed everything. Because suddenly I was working with the universe, not asking it to work around my internal barriers.
The moment my energy shifted — the moment I actually believed, felt, and acted like someone who was ready to help people — the clients came. The moment I believed, felt, and acted like someone who had valuable things to say — the platform came. It wasn’t because my words finally reached the universe. It was because I finally became someone who was in alignment with what I was asking for.
